Olumide Sogbola is an experienced and self-driven compliance officer with a track record of ensuring companies are functioning in complete compliance with all national and international rules and regulations. He has over 15 years of working experience as a compliance officer either as the Head or unit member of different companies\' Internal Control Unit.

He holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the prestigious Ladoke Akintola University in Oyo State, he is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He started his career as an auditor in SULAIMAN & CO (CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS) in the year 1999-2002. He moved into the banking sector following the path of a compliance officer, he worked with Capital Bank, Broad bank, oceanic bank (Now Ecobank Nigeria Ltd) all from the period 2002 to 2020. He joined Cowry Group in the year 2020 heading the department of Enterprise Risk Management.

He has honed several skills over the years in the area of compliance ensuring the organizations he worked for meet up with legal, ethical, and even quality standards ranging from ensuring safety measures meet relevant standards to making sure financial documents are prepared properly and submitted on time.

He is currently heading the Enterprise Risk Management unit of Cowry Group laced with the responsibility of a compliance officer for the company among other similar responsibilities. During his employment with Cowry Group, he has been involved in the review of documents, work practices, overhauling of the internal control system and completed work, and identifying the area where changes might be necessary. He is also playing the lead role in the updating of our training practices and manuals for employees to meet up with the regulatory agencies\' standards within the financial industry.
